-Ascribed to: “KUNISUKI” (Shinto, circa 1740)
-Sword is Complete with MENUKIS; TSUBA; KOSUKA; and FUCHI-KASHIRA, SHAKUDO set. All black with gold and copper inlay, and AIK. Wood scabbard with black lacquer. TSUBA has faces and Water Lilies on obverse, and Blossoms & Bamboo on reverse, white; copper; and gold inlay. SHAKUDO—NANAKO has two rows of gold leaves. Blade is 25”, including tang, WAKIZASHI, signed KUNISUKI. Blade has fair patina. Calligraphy indicates Fidelity; Piety; Loyalty and Devotion. Incised designed on each side “Dragon & Bamboo”.
