Rx: LIBERAL AVG [III] P M TR P COS III Hadrian seated I. on platform extending r. Hand, before him seated attendant perhaps taking tessera from togate citizen who is mounting steps to platform, in background a second attendant standing and holding coin counter. Rare: no specimens in Reka Devnia hoard, none in Berk photo file. We do not know the occasion of Hadrian’s third largesse: both the coin type itself and Hadrian’s movements during these years are difficult to date. Graded to be in Fine condition.
